Siemens Symphony 1.5 Tesla high field "short bore" MR system
Since we opened our facility in 1987, Parkside MR Center has been the setting for a number of "firsts" in this area. Parkside first introduced high-quality MR angiography, helped engineer one of the first shoulder coils, and we were the first to offer comprehensive Breast MR. We were also among the first to provide referring physicians paper film images with their reports.

In 2000, the Siemens Symphony, the latest high field MR system was installed at Parkside. We now offer high field comprehensive studies with a more open short bore scanner. This is in addition to our full open system for claustrophobic and large body patients.

As new and even more remarkable MR capabilities are developed - in cardiac and breast imaging, peripheral angiography, abdominal imaging, digital reporting and more - we will continue to be the leader in these applications here in the Midwest.
