CT Dental Scans Done at Parkside Imaging
CT images of the maxilla and/or mandible are obtained as image data that will
be used as the basis for 3D surgical planning of dental implants.
Two CT scans are obtained using the Radiographic Guide and Radiographic Index
that are provided by the dentist. The first scan is done with the patient
wearing the Radiographic Guide and Radiographic Index and the second CT scan is
of the Radiographic Guide on its own. These images are then loaded via CD into
a 3D software program which provides the dentist with exceptional predictability
for optimal implant placement.
